Tree Collection
Cransley Hospice Trust request you leave your tree(s) outside in an accessible area by 0800 Friday 12th January 2024. Preference to be on the street outside your property, if not possible please leave close to the street/public access. Cransley Hospice Trust reserves the right to not collect your tree(s) if the area is deemed unsafe or inaccessible.
Donations
Cransley Hospice Trust Christmas Tree Recycle is a free service with donations gratefully received, money donated is used to fund End of Life Care and Special Palliative Care services in North Northamptonshire.
After costs are deducted 10% will be donated to Northants 4×4 Emergency Response.
Gift Aid is a government scheme that allows charities to reclaim the tax that you pay for the current tax year. We need your address to identify you as a current UK taxpayer and in order to Gift Aid your donation, you must tick the box when making the donation.
Refunds of donations
All donations received are voluntary in nature and not payment for services. Should circumstances mean that Cransley Hospice Trust is unable to practically complete the collection, monies received are non-refundable to the donor and will be retained by Cransley Hospice Trust. In exceptional circumstances or where there is a technical error reported, Cransley Hospice Trust will make a refund where appropriate.
Data Protection
Information we store relating to everyone who supports us and/or has expressed an interest in supporting us, is handled under the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018. Our responsibilities under this act are taken seriously and we ensure personal information we obtain is held, used, transferred and otherwise processed in accordance with that Act and all other applicable data protection laws and regulations and in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
We may collect and use your personal information by relying on the legitimate interest legal basis such as when you have registered a tree for collection in a previous year, we will want to tell you about the collection the following year because we have a legitimate organisational interest to use your personal information and there is no prejudice or harm to your rights and freedom by using your personal information for this purpose. Where we do so, we will always provide you with the opportunity to opt-out of such communications.
Please note we appoint third party service providers (known as processors) who will handle information on our behalf to complete collection route plans. Cransley Hospice Trust remains responsible for ensuring that its processors comply with data protection law and this Policy in their handling of personal data.
