Remembering Richard Aveling

Richard’s impact within the charity will be remembered for years to come.

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our friend and loyal colleague, Richard Aveling, who died at home on Monday 3rd January 2022.

Richard was a much-loved and well-respected Trustee of Cransley Hospice Trust from 2013 until 2020, also acting as Chair of Trustees from July 2017 through to January 2019. He was incredibly passionate about his role within the Trust and continually brought great wisdom and guidance to the team, leading the substantial growth of the charity during his significant tenure.

Paul Humphrey, current Chair of Trustees at Cransley Hospice Trust commented:

“We are deeply saddened to learn of Richard’s passing. Our thoughts are with his wife Christine, and his family at this very difficult time.

“Richard’s impact within the charity will be remembered for years to come and as a team, we will honour his memory by our commitment to the work he dedicated so many years to – the enabling of essential end of life care in North Northamptonshire.”
