Make a splash at Swim for Cransley this March

Whatever your ability, there is a challenge you can get involved with. Our main event, held at the Corby International Swimming Pool on Saturday 9th March, is an intense 5k challenge! Swimmers will be taking on a whopping 200 lengths of the 25m pool during a slot from 5pm – 9pm. There’s no time limit – and we’ll have exclusive use of the pool on the night, so you can expect pumping music and plenty of cheering to spur you on. Feel free to bring along your support crew, who will be made very welcome – we’re sure the atmosphere will be infectious!
If that sounds a little too much – why not gather a group of friends or family and take on the challenge together? We’ve already had brothers and sisters, fathers and daughters and even a group of girlfriends sign up to take part in teams, it’s a healthy and exciting way to spend your Saturday night.
And if the challenge is up your street but the date doesn’t work – don’t panic! You can take part at any time or place during the month, you’ll just need to self-adjudicate your lengths to receive your medal.
Entry into the challenge costs just £15 per person and everyone who tackles this fantastic achievement will be rewarded with a medal. Of course, we rely on sponsorship to make our events a huge success – and we’re encouraging you to raise as much as possible to enable us to care for more local people with life-limiting illnesses. In fact, there’s a fabulous incentive – if you raise over £50, there will be a Cransley Hospice water bottle waiting for you to collect on the night!

We’re also bringing back the Swim for Cransley Corporate Challenge for groups of work colleagues who want to conquer the pool while doing some good. Do you think you can steal the crown from 2018’s joint winners JPP Consulting and Marval Software?
During the month of February, teams will be tasked with fundraising as much as possible, with totals raised equating to points at the final showdown.
Then on Wednesday 6th March from 7 – 9pm, we’ll be taking over the Corby International Swimming Pool for the corporate challenge – where teams of up to six swimmers battle it out to swim as many lengths as they can manage within the hour. Total lengths and fundraising totals will then be added together and our new Kings and Queens of the pool will be crowned!
Entry into the corporate challenge costs just £100 for a team of up to six swimmers and everyone will be rewarded with a medal – the winning team will also receive a shield and a team prize!

Finally, there’s also a gripping Club Challenge taking place on Saturday 9th March. Teams entering must be associated with a swimming club to ensure the Club Challenge attracts likeminded heroes.
Following the same format as the Corporate Challenge, club teams will be tasked with fundraising during February, before hitting the water to complete as many lengths as their team can manage during a one hour slot…go, go go!
The Club Challenge saw a lot of competitive spirit last year and we hope that this year, more swimming clubs will be keen to take on this event and swim their way to victory!
The Club Challenge costs just £100 for a team of six swimmers, with each swimmer receiving a medal for taking part and the winning team being rewarded with a shield and a team treat.
