Inspiring Youngsters to Support Cransley Hospice!

We’re really excited to be running two new initiatives for our younger supporters at the moment, which are proving to be incredibly popular!

September 2018

Our Jam Jar Army – which is also open to adults (in-fact many local businesses have already shown their support!) is a simple but fantastic campaign, where anyone can take a humble jam jar and raise funds for Cransley Hospice!

We can send out free labels to anyone who requests them and you can simply take a clean jam jar, of any shape or size, and begin to collect loose change or creatively fundraise in order to fill your jar.

Sam Cunningham of Tropic Skincare was one of the first people to take part in the campaign, she commented:

“Being part of the Jam Jar Army is a really simple way to raise much-needed funds for this amazing and worthwhile charity… it couldn’t be easier! Cransley [Hospice] have looked after two of my friends and this is one of the ways I could think of to give something back!”

If you’d like to join the #JamJarArmy just drop us an email at info@cransleyhospice.org.uk with your address and we’ll get some labels in the post to you right away.

Simultaneously, we have our fantastic ‘£10 Challenge’ running in schools and community groups.

The £10 challenge is a business enterprise style fundraising initiative aimed at Key Stages 3 and 4. Each child has been tasked with raising a minimum of £10 in whatever way they choose.

Bishop Stopford school were the first to get involved and Community Fundraiser Sophie Dinnie helped to launch the project with them. Sophie comments:

“I’m blown away by the student’s enthusiasm for the £10 challenge! They have come up with some really creative ideas that will raise an impressive total for our Hospice and I can’t wait to be invited back to hear about how they got on at the end of the task!”

We have a fantastic free ‘£10 Challenge’ event pack available, so if this sounds like something you’d like to get involved with then please get in touch.
