Our In Memory Events

We are privileged to hold two very special ‘In Memory’ events every year, each bringing together hundreds of people to remember and celebrate the lives of those who have received the support of Cransley Hospice. When you feel ready to, we’d love for you to gather together friends and family and join us at these very special events.

The Tree of Lights

Christmas can be a very difficult time following bereavement.

The annual Tree of Lights service, held each year as the festive season approaches, gives us the opportunity to remember and celebrate life in a positive way.

People from all faiths and beliefs would usually come together outside our Fundraising Office at the St Mary’s Hospital Site to honour their loved ones at this very poignant service of readings, carols and music.

This year we are inviting people to remember their loved ones by leaving a dedication on our Tree of Lights dedication page and to join in the service virtually on Sunday 6th December when it will be streamed online.  Please check our events listings for full details.

Lanterns at the Lakes

We hold a beautifully reflective memory walk at Stanwick Lakes, to come together and remember those we have loved and lost.

As the seasons change and we enter the lighter months, it is a very special time to reflect on favourite memories of loved ones we hold dear.

This one-mile walk is accessible to everyone, including those in pushchairs and wheelchairs. Each participant is given a handheld paper lantern, which lights the way and creates a very magical ambience.

Please check our event listings for further information for future dates.
