Event Volunteers to support Cransley Hospice Trust at one of our events

Could you use your enthusiasm and self-motivation to support the Cransley Hospice Fundraising and Events team at one of our events?

You don’t need to volunteer at all our events!  We have lots of different opportunities where we need your help,  it could be a bucket collection at a local shopping centre, helping at a Christmas fayre, manning a registration desk at a sporting event, marshalling – or even helping with the gardening at the hospice – a few hours of your time helps to support end of life care for our patients and families.

 

Role Summary:

You will be supporting the Event and Community Fundraising teams at various locations across North Northamptonshire and below is brief outline of some of the duties you are likely to be involved in:

  • Welcoming and registering participants
  • Helping with the setting up and dismantling of events ‘on location’
  • Manning fundraising stalls at events
  • Helping with the running of an event as required
  • Handling money and card payments in accordance with set procedures
  • Keeping all areas clean, tidy and clear
  • Handing out prizes or medals
  • Marshalling event areas

The Cransley Hospice Trust fundraising events are a great way to get involved, have FUN and be a part of the team supporting end-of-life care!

Cransley Hospice Trust has a vital place at the heart of the community helping people to be as comfortable as they can during the final stages of their lives and supporting their families through this very difficult time. We provide specialist care services for people diagnosed with a terminal illness when their symptoms are complex to manage and when they are nearing the end of their life.  Our team of specialist doctors, nurses and therapists focus on helping patients to enjoy the best quality of life possible, offering emotional and practical support, providing suitable treatments and therapies and, when the time comes, providing the best care to ensure a comfortable and dignified death.
