Entries Flooding In For The Annual Cransley Hospice Road Races!

July 2018

We’re excited to see so many eager runners signing up for this year’s Cransley Hospice Road Races. Held once again in the picturesque village of Cranford, with the support of the local community, on Sunday 16th September, the event looks set to be a huge success.

There is a 10k and ½ marathon route to choose from, as well as a fantastic 2.3k junior run for the superstars of the future, aged between 9 and 14-years old. All of the stunning routes are completely traffic free throughout and there will be a warm welcome and a fantastic medal for every runner at the finish line.

For the first time, we’re introducing chip-timing to the event, allowing those more competitive runners to accurately record their success on the day. What’s more, we’re delighted that the ½ marathon course has been selected as the official Northamptonshire Athletics Association County Championships event, meaning that the ½ marathon winner will also be the new County Champion!

The junior run will kick off the proceedings at 10.15am, followed by the 10k and ½ marathon routes at 11.00am. Tickets are available online by clicking HERE and cost just £22.00 (£20 affiliated) for the ½ marathon, £20.00 (£18 affiliated) for the 10k route and just £5 for the junior run.

Last year, the event raised over £25,000 for Cransley Hospice. As this is our 20th Anniversary year, we’d love to push this even further and raise a record-breaking amount of money to enable us to help more local people. We’ve already seen many dedicated runners setting up their JustGiving pages online and are incredibly grateful for their efforts. Remember, If you manage to raise over £75 in sponsorship, you can run for free!
