Cransley Hospice invites Care Homes to Virtual Tree of Lights

Cransley Hospice invites staff, residents and families of North Northamptonshire care homes to join the virtual Tree of Lights service which will be broadcast on Sunday 6th December at 6.30 pm from our Facebook and YouTube channels.

The care homes have been sent a special Tree of Lights pack containing an in-memory Tree and a candle for them to light along with a service booklet so that staff and residents can follow the service on the night all together or as individuals.

The service will have music, readings, lighting of candles and the Tree of Lights will be lit with the dedications to shine brightly in memory of our loved ones. It welcomes all faiths or non-faiths and is not a religious service, but a service to reflect and remember those that we love who are no longer here with us.

Our Community Fundraising Manager Louise said: “Christmas is a particularly difficult time of year for anyone that has lost a loved one and this year has been especially hard for the staff, residents and their families so we wanted to extend a warm invitation to them and let them know that they are not alone.”

Here at Cransley Hospice the team know well the challenges that have been brought to staff and families of residents and patients this year and we hope that by coming together for a moment of peace and reflection, people will be able to draw some comfort and love.

The service will remain on our Facebook and YouTube channels after the event on Sunday and anyone wishing to make a dedication will still be able to do so via the Tree of lights dedication page https://cransleyhospice.dedicationpage.org/treeoflights or by calling 01536 452423.

The service will be broadcast via https://www.facebook.com/cransleyfundraising and https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCpR8LPFpuK_PDmjhoLwzgLg.
